More Than Conquerors

In trusting God we become more than conquerors through Jesus who loves us. Stop trying to change and manipulate people and events. Start trusting your creator. Wow, isn’t that a powerful charge?
I don’t remember the exact date it happened but I do remember the event and the power of the Holy Spirit when it first occurred. I learned the secret to having a victorious life in Christ. Proverbs 3:5-7: “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths.”
The awareness that came to me is that it is not in anything that I have done or will do but in what Christ has already done. That awareness allows me to acquire victory. It is not in the trying, it is in the trusting. I reflected on the times God has allowed painful experiences in my life and how those times I had no other choice but to trust Him. That is where I learned not to lean on my own understanding but to trust God. Now don’t get me wrong, I have to bring myself into that awareness on a daily basis by choosing to trust Him right from the beginning and to be led by the Holy Spirit.
Look at the examples God has placed in His word for us, David, Daniel, Job, Samson and others. You will see that their victory and strength, like ours, is found in the same place.


And Father, I thank You that You are there and that all of us can trust You with it all.
